Fullmetal Alchemist is an anime based on two brothers who's father whereabouts are unknown and who's mother has just passed away. Edward and Alphonse Elric are two brothers who study the science of Alchemy. Edward is a sort of prodigy when it comes to Alchemy, after a bit of research, he stumbles upon the theory of human transmutation and begins plotting to bring his mother back. This is a grave mistake though, the transmutation goes wrong and Edward ends up missing one arm and the opposing leg, Alphonse loses his entire body and is encased inside of a metal suit. Edward vows to set things right, no matter what the cost.
